Jonathan L. Gleit graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City in 1990, and was licensed to practice law before all the courts of the State of New York in 1991. He entered private practice working for a midtown municipal and insurance defense firm, but found his calling working on behalf of injured and wronged New Yorkers. After many years of hard fought litigating, he became the senior trial attorney for a multi county plaintiff’s personal injury firm, and in 1999 opened his own office in Bronx County concentrating in police misconduct and serious personal injury law. He is a member of the Bronx County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Born and raised in New York, Jonathan obtained a B.A. degree from the University of Colorado in 1985 returning to New York to practice law, where he lives with his wife and two children. Due in part to his ability to successfully litigate at trial, most of his client’s cases have settled at or before trial. He has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. While past results do not guarantee a similar outcome, many of his newer clients were referred by satisfied clients, and other attorneys who value his expertise. Mr. Gleit has presented Continuing Legal Education to other members of the Bar in the area of police misconduct. Jonathan L. Gleit fights for every client to obtain full and fair compensation, and gives every client personal professional attention. Free initial consultation with Jonathan L. Gleit.
